Before We Leave

Before we leave to go to America we are going to pack up what we are going to bring with us. We are also going to pack up the house to rent it out to someone. We are going to America for six months exactly, we leave on the 16th of July and get on the plane home on the 16th of January. We are flying from Tasmania to Auckland then to Los Angeles and then to Reno.

In Summer, I am excited to go swimming in Lake Tahoe with our family. I am also excited to see my new baby cousin Wyatt who is one year old. I am excited to go to Yellowstone National Park and see a Grizzly Bear, Bison, Moose, Deer and Geysers. I am excited to go to Harry Potter World and have some pumpkin juice, cauldron cakes and see some other cool things, we are going to go there because my Uncle and Aunt live next to it and we are staying with them for a while and then going to Mexico. In Mexico I am excited to eat tacos and look around, we are going there because my granddad grew up there. When we are gone I will miss Aspen (our dog) and my friends and family.

The Long Journey East

To get to America we flew 8,462 miles (13,540 km), we flew from Hobart to Auckland and then in Auckland we had to wait five hours because our flight was delayed. Our flight was delayed because the toilets weren't working. Because our flight was delayed we each got thirty dollars to spend at the airport. When e finally got on the plane it was the middle of the night, we were in a row with a SkyCouch which is like three seats and something comes out from under your seat to make a leg rest. When we got to Los Angeles we picked our bags up and went to a hotel to spend the night because our flight was delayed which meant we could have dinner with our uncle Alex and aunt Sophie. he next day we flew to Reno. The food on the planes was really good but I liked the chicken, rice and beans the most. In Reno we got picked up by our granddad and then drove to Lake Tahoe. At our granddads house in Northstar it has been getting up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I am excited to go on the boat, play in...
